About the Artist

Brittney S. Holland strives to capture with her camera that which kindles the fires within.  Today’s collection represents such a fire, a fire kindled by the world of horses and horse culture. 

 

As a photographer, Brittney hopes to see through her lens as God would have her see, ever watchful and thankful for the moments He reveals.  As an artist, she wants her images to reflect a simple elegance and grace, choosing to let each moment speak for itself with little digital influence or manipulation.  Though primarily self-taught, Ms. Holland has been blessed to know and form friendships with masters of the craft.  Most recently, she has benefited from the mentorship of fine-art photographer and instructor Jordyn O’Keeffe of Wellington, New Zealand.

Brittney’s work is currently on display at  The Perfect Cup in Dalton, GA.  She has also shown her work at Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia’s annual Off-the-Wall Pin-Up Show and at small charitable events around the Atlanta area.  Rose Lawn’s May Market 2015 is her first arts & crafts show.

but first...

...a couple guilty pleasure pics.

My husband runs ultra trail races and rides mountain bikes.

So when I heard he was looking at a race at Grayson Highlands State Park,VA

and that they have WILD PONIES, I was EAGER, eager to tag along.

We were there for three lovely days,

and the race was on the morning of our second day.

I so enjoyed watching the ponies interact with the racers 

that I couldn't resist capturing these moments.

The girl in the cowboy hat said that she wore this outfit

just so she could get a picture with the ponies.

Okay, so they are...technically...w-i-l-d,

but they certainly aren't skittish.

Let's say they have a healthy awareness

of us humans, and getting close

isn't as difficult as I feared

(though I still wouldn't encourage you to pet them.)
